Terms of service

Short, because the service is short: a tool that runs in your browser.

Using the service

Music Visualizer Lab is a browser based tool for creating music visualizers. You may use it for personal or commercial work. There is no account, no licence key and no usage fee.

What you create is yours

You keep full ownership of everything you make with this tool. No claim is made on your videos, images or settings, and there is no watermark or attribution requirement. Since your files are processed on your device and never received, there is nothing on this side to own.

Rights to the music you use

You are responsible for having the right to use any audio you load. That means you wrote it, you own the recording, you have a licence that covers what you are doing with it, or it is genuinely free to use for that purpose.

Making a visualizer does not create any new right over a recording. Uploading a video of music you do not have the rights to is still an infringement, and platforms will act on the audio regardless of what the video shows. The same applies to background images and logos: if you did not make it, check that you can use it.

Acceptable use

Do not use this tool to create material that is unlawful, or to attempt to disrupt the service for other people. Automated access that places unreasonable load may be rate limited or blocked.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without a guarantee of availability or of fitness for any particular purpose. It may be changed or taken down. Since work is not stored on a server, the main practical risk is losing locally saved presets, so export anything you need before relying on it.

Browser limitations

Some features depend on what your browser supports. Video export needs media recording, which is not available everywhere. Where a feature is unavailable, the editor says so rather than failing quietly. These are limitations of the platform, not defects in the service, and no particular browser's behaviour is guaranteed.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for loss or damage arising from use of this tool, including lost work, lost time or claims relating to content you create with it.

Privacy

How your files and data are handled is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top will change when they are. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting the updated terms.
